• Computer Aided Design

    prerequisite: Technical Drawing

This course is a continuation of Technical Drawing where we transition from traditional drafting equipment to the computer. We make a lot of references and analogies to note how specific computer software tools duplicate the work of traditional drafting equipment. Of the three types of technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, and architectural) we focus on mechanical and architectural.

As with the technical drawing course, the importance of being able to read and understand a ruler cannot be emphasized enough. Attention to detail is important.
