• the globeWelcome to the History Department

The History program is designed to allow students to develop critical thinking skills, analyze basic value positions and to be aware of the heritage of the past. Contemporary events are taught in all courses. The overall goal is to help prepare students for effective roles in a democratic society. In many of the courses offered, an honors section or advanced placement section is available for students demonstrating high academic success and a strong work ethic.
