Welcome to the Hammondsport Central School website!  Located on the southern tip of beautiful Keuka Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, HCS offers a wide variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities in a small school setting. 

With classroom sizes ranging from 11 - 22 students per class, HCS has a proven track record of academic success.  We currently offer advanced placement and college credit courses in Math, Science, English, History and Spanish.  In addition, our technology at HCS is state of the art  with five computer labs, wireless laptop labs and wireless laptops available for student use.  Year after year, our students are recognized in various areas of academics such as national merit scholars and Academic All-Stars (small school champions).

To complement our strong academic foundation, HCS offers several extracurricular activities for students of all ages.  Our sports program fields competitive teams at the modified, junior varsity and varsity levels in soccer, tennis, golf, volleyball (girls), basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, cross country, track & field, softball, and baseball.  Instrumental music instruction is available to students starting in the fourth grade.  Concert bands, jazz bands, and various instrumental ensembles are also available to instrumental students as early as fourth grade.  In addition, various clubs and student organizations including Student Government, Drama Club, and Ski Club are available to students at HCS.

As a small school district, our school is truly the heart of the community.  Community involvement is present in every aspect of HCS in the form of PTO, student scholarship funds, Adult Education Courses, Drama Club and Community Theater to name a few.
